 Psalm 119: 17-24

Deal bountifully with your servant,
that I may live and keep your word.
Open my eyes, that I may behold
wondrous things out of your law.
I am a sojourner on the earth;
hide not your commandments from me!
My soul is consumed with longing
for your rules at all times.
You rebuke the insolent, accursed ones,
who wander from your commandments.
Take away from me scorn and contempt,
for I have kept your testimonies.
Even though princes sit plotting against me,
your servant will meditate on your statutes.
Your testimonies are my delight;
they are my counselors.

Father’s in RCC

Let us celebrate the men who the Lord has made fathers among us. Pray that they would be patient, quick to listen and slow to speak to their children, and lead them in the truth of God’s word, repenting when they sin, and press on to grow in the knowledge of God. Let fathers emulate Christ, as they lead their families, and that they would have unity with their wives, so that their prayers are not hindered. Keep Satan and his demons away from the men who are seeking to lead and train their children in the fear and admiration of the Lord. May we see children saved in our families, and honor and love their families and give their fathers great joy.

The most basic problem for Honduras is deep poverty. Children form more than half the population, and most live in poverty. Many try to reach the USA to find family members there, but often end up suffering in prison in Mexico or Guatemala. Honduras has more pepenadores [peh-peh-nah-dohr-res]
 (garbage dump children) than any nation in the Americas. Violent gangs exploit vulnerable children as members and sex workers. Honduras has 60% of Central America’s AIDS cases. Organized crime and maras (gangs) link with drug cartels and hold power in society.

The government faces an uphill battle in establishing true stability and order. A young nation, Honduras' colonial past and military rule for most of its independence mean that democratic structures and mentalities must be nurtured. Corruption within the government, preferential treatment of the rich minority and prevalent poverty make the nation vulnerable to structures of sin.
Pray for righteousness and for wise and resolute governance.
Pray for moral courage for Hondurans to stop the spread of AIDS. Pray for righteousness, and for a wise government that works equally for rich and poor.mission mobilizers; pray for more godly leaders to be raised up and trained.
