    Praying The Psalms:  Psalm 121:1-8

I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper;
the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life. The LORD will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.

International Missionaries in Israel

D & M just returned to their home after a brief trip to the United States for mandatory security training by their company.

They are engaged in twice a week language studies to progress in their local Arabic dialect. This is hard work, but necessary so they can communicate well with their target groups.

M has been engaging with Muslim ladies through embroidery and Pilates classes. D has been engaging with a group of brothers who came to faith out of muslim background, have a desire to start a fellowship in the WB, and who give evidence of genuine fruit.

Ways To Pray:

  • Pray that D&M would be helped in their language studies
  • Pray that there would be more times of peace to allow for travel between their home and their target area, the WB.
  • Pray for the national partners and other believers: for boldness in sharing their faith, for true love for those that they have been taught are enemies, for stability and favor for fellowships to form across the WB.

Andy Morris
Immanuel Baptist Church | Louisville, KY

I serve as a pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church.  I have been serving as Missions Pastor and Immanuel Network Director for 8 years. It is a joy to see God sustaining and using His people in Church plants, existing churches around North America, and Missionaries overseas. It is also a joy to work with young adults as they consider how God is directing them to leverage their life for the gospel. We have a number of challenging counseling cases currently.  Some that are heading toward church discipline.

Ways To Pray:

  • Pray for repentance in these counseling cases, and that we would see this work as hopeful and Lord willing redemptive in the people's lives.

  • Pray for a current evangelistic outreach we’re doing on Sunday morning with a ‘Christianity explained’ class.  Unbelievers are coming! (Friends & family of our members mostly).

  • Pray for our Youth.  They are a mixture of saved & not yet saved.  Pray for the Lord to do a mighty work and raise up this next generation to make much of Him.

Khmer Krom (kuh-MARE krum) in Cambodia

A significant number of Kampuchea Krom (descendants of the original Khmer inhabitants of what is now southern Vietnam) have migrated from Vietnam and now live within the borders of Cambodia. Because of linguistic, political and social factors, they are distinct in many ways from the wider Khmer population in Cambodia. Buddhism is the public veneer of Kampuchea (kam·puh·chee·uh) Krom religion, but animistic belief in the spirit world may have more influence in their daily lives. The Kampuchea Krom often keep an altar outside their homes where they offer food and incense to the spirit world on a daily basis.

Ways To Pray:

  • Pray for the relatively few Christian believers to be accurately taught the ways of Christ; they need qualified teachers.

  • Pray for this people group to have the opportunity to hear of Christ in their mother tongue and in a manner they will both understand and accept.
